im lookin into getting one but i know absoulutley nothing about them....can someone please give me some info....like how fast ...how they rate against the 450's and are they realiable .......do u think i should wait for the suzuki 450 or get one.....what is the suspention like? thanks for everying oh yea if anyone has some pics please post those

im completly happy with my 87 500R. the stock suspension is good, well for me atleast. if you get an 87', youll have to watch the bolts on the head, they've been known for having leaks, becuase the 6 bolt head doesnt secure it tight enough, thats why they switched to 7 bolt head in the 88 to 93 years.

 

Do you plan on doing your own engine work?

The power and age of these machines mean that they are not a good choice for beginners.
