A proof to How indestructable suzuki's are!
for everone who said they got this and that and it has lasted this long, take a look at the suzuki i got
First off it is a 1973 TS250 enduro dirtbike
the motor is a 2 stroke, no reeds, no powervalve, aircooled. -----origional piston and rings
It does NOT have a air filter on it for the last forever- no one makes one.!
the only matience done was cleaned the carb
the tranny oil was never changed, who knows if it has any, or not.
the injector for the oil has never been cleaned.
the brakes are origional cable drums and work mint.
the odometer and spedo still work as well as the blinkers, and all.
the clutch is origional
and the bike was raced, and beat on, and still starts right up first kick, no problems!!!
thats amazing how they used to build those things, compared to today.

Are you sure that it don't have reed's?Are'nt they uder the jug, under the carb?I bought one a few year's back, the ring's were shot. The only way to start it was to dump 2-stroke oil into the cylinder, the thing would run fine, not the fastest cuz of compression.I tore it down to see what all I needed for it and was told that I could'nt get a piston for it anymore so I not thinking through it out.

i didnt pay anything it was my grandpa sons bike that was sitting forever.
i am positive it doesnt have any reeds.
ZukZilla550- do you by chance have the rear shocks for it? you could have bought a piston, nos, or wiseco.
mine still starts up first kick after sitting for a year, it really amazes me how durable the old bikes are

My wife's sister had one of these exact same bikes. 73 TS250 Suzuki. It had sat in her woods here in Montana, leaned up against a tree, for something like 10 years. One day she said just take it if you want it. I put new gas in it and a new spark plug, and started kicking. 7 kicks and it fired, and I rode it down the road. Unbelievable.
