Default Twin Peaks Is A Work Horse

I was dragging logs today to help my friend get wood and was amazed at what wouldn't stop this machine. A couple of times the logs would get caught on a downed tree and stop me. I would back up grab the diff lock and keep right on going. With Mudlites I could not believe the things this would go over and still keep pulling the logs. I keep getting more impressed with this machine every day. I now have 12 hours on it and it keeps getting more powerful.
Are there any do's or don't when you're pulling? I know from bad experience pulling in reverse is bad. All the above was in low range going forward in four wheel drive. Is this ATV really made for work? It sure seems so, but I also want it to last. I just want to make sure I'm not abusing it. I didn't go over the 1200 lbs. pull weight I think.

Sounds like you are using it for what it was made for, work. Looks like you have found out what few people do, the 700 twin is a heck of a worker and can really help get things done. Its not just a quick trail machine, or a good mudder.

On an auto, dont ease into your pull....give it full throttle or none.

Mine spends most of the time working, but loves to get out and trail ride. That was what really got me to buy the P700. I pull heavy loads all the time including a few 3000# loads of concrete around our land and I have had no problems.

Wow, from the threads on this forum, it sounded like the 700 was more of a play toy work horse wannabe. It's nice to know that it can really work. Thanks for the tip on the throttle issue. Makes sense, once the belt is engaged hard, it can really do the work then. How long have the belts lasted for people who work there machines.

I have low miles on my p700, only 500 or so. My old 650 had 1400 on it when it was sold, I used it for plowing, pulling trailers, and trail riding. No problems with either one.
