King Quad 700 Reverse Response
I saw this over on the Highlifter forum........thought it was an excellent idea - let's do it - numbers will get their attention. Let's see if Suzuki responds.
FWIW.....I just received the Customer Satisfaction Survey after buying a King Quad. Might be a good idea for all of us who might be concerned about the reverse situation to drop them a line. Maybe they will stand behind the potential problem by offering a no-cost extended warranty for that particular issue and/or will expedite a preventive resolution. Their address is as follows:
Suzuki
1011 E Touhy Ave
Suite 450
Des Plaines, IL 60019-9637
(suggestion) Attn: King Quad 700 Reverse Problem
We don't know how pervasive the problem is yet and I am not suggesting "the sky is falling", but if Suzuki understands how much anxiety and bad press it is causing to current and potential KQ owners, they might step up to the plate. Reputable manufacturers always do.

I think Nyroc is right! So if any of you are potential buyers, let Suzuki know that your purchase is pending the position they take on this reverse issue. If they stand behind it with an extended tranny warranty, I would jump on it (if I didn't have one already). If there isn't an inherent defect, they should have no problem doing this - the tranny should be the strongest link in a drive line! If there is an inherent problem, they should do it as a reputable manufacturer who stands behind their product........and THAT should remove any hesitation/anxiety for potential buyer and current owners. It's just the right thing to do.

No but I think some of the other members that have them would if they were having the problem. Talked to three large dealerships in Fla. today and they hadn't heard of the problem. Best bet is if your worried about it then wait, and see what happens. I'm surely gonna ride the tires off mine

Looks like suzuki knows about it. An assembly line tech has been installing a clip backwards (or something) and they know of 4 machines that had this reverse problem. I read this on HL, not that I knew myself.
Looks like the rest of you guys can ride the tires off it without worrying. You problably won't have any probs.
So far, aside from this rare manufacturing error, the KQ has been a pretty dang well built machine (a lot better made judging by the first few weeks it has been out than other quads).
I oughta get one myself.
