Default Thinking about trading My LT250R for a....

hey all. I love my LT250 to death and have spent lots of $$$ on it. But i really want a good, reliable thumper. This kid has a 250X wich is pretty quick, with lots of mods. Do you think it would be a decent trade? the pics of the 250 are in my profile. Its a 92. If not, any one wanna trade? Possibly a 400ex or (wish) a banshee? thanks.. if u serriously wanna trade PM me with what ya got! JUST REBUILT! I know i put this in the honda fourm, but i want to get both sides of the bikes.

Don't trade your lt250 for a 250x... that would flat be wrong. No way will you be happy with the lack of power the 250x has. Guys with stock blasters will talk smack to you!! I'm not even a suzuki fan... please someone talk to this guy!!!

86,

You would be crazy to make that trade. You mention reliability... I am the only 2-stroker in the group that I ride with and I am the most reliable. Maintenance is key.

The 450's are reliable and fast, their just expensive. You can make a Z 400 pretty quick for less money. I wouldn't go with a 400ex, they have been at the bottom of the performance totem pole for a long time, it would be sad to spend a bunch of money on a new quad and have it be slower than your Lt. I had an LT250R and I traded to a YFZ I don't regret it for a moment, I loved my LT more than anything.....but the YFZ is flat out better in every way. But it cost a few bucks to make the switch.....Good luck

If he could afford a z400 or a 450 do you think he'd be thinking about trading his lt for a 250X? Cmon man. Not everyone has an extra 6-7K laying around for the latest and greatest bike.

I agree that it would be a bad trade. Handling, power, and just about everything else would be worse on the X than it is on your LT. You just need to take a little better care of it and remember that its older than half of the forum members on this board.
