I just found a 250r (guessing a Lt) in a local paper, and was wonderin some things about it like top speed? two stroke? Horse Power? Ride Nice? it just got a fresh rebuild, they want $1800 good price? i am going to call and find the year and every thing just need to no if i would be wasteing my time.

 

Will it keep up with a Z?

 

depends on the year, older models suck, but the later had a better engine. I would think with a couple mods you would beat them, but I don't ride them had a friend who had one he was beat'n the 01 raptor (this was awhile ago) so yes you can beat them. I destroyed a z and my jetting was jacked and my tires were gone.

 

Yeah just like "delow350" said the later years had a better engine and performance. I have an 89 lt250R and I love it. I bought mine for 1800 put some work and mods into it.

 

By the way is it liquid cooled? do you got to premix?

 

Its Liquid Cooled. And Yes its a gas and oil premix.

its just an aftermarket plastic from Maier Plastics. Its their new "racing" hood. I liked it over the OEM one because it makes the bike look that much better.
