Called the guy and this is what he told me: 1992 LT205r, it just had a rebuild done and its bored .4, whne he did the rubild they got new sprokets and rebuilt the carb, it has a dg pipe and silencer, dg nerf bars,
he says its mechanicaly sound only needs the chain adjusted now and then. taking a look at it Monday or Tuesday
all this for $1800 sounds good to me, but u always can haggle them down

Delow- Are you saying the 85-86 suck because they don't have the powervalve? I'm wondering what your basing that on.

I'm not saying they suck I just like the power valve engines they tend in my exp to pull harder have a better low end pull

The 85's and 86's do not suck.in fact they are probably more reliable than the 87-92. the 85-86 were only 5 speeds, and had no exhaust power valve. They arent really slow, just slower than the 87-92. I road at big rock in maysville kentucky on my 91 banshee with a guy who owned an 86 lt,and he had no problems keeping up no matter where we went.im sure if i poured it on i could have outdragged him though. I own an 87 quadracer, and for the 2 hours i got to ride it before it died it was very fast and fun.(the 87 is the fastest year btw-hahaha) If you have the cash for either an lt250 or a newer sport quad like a yfz or trx450,i wouldnt see any reason why someone would pick a 17 year old quad over a new one unless they were a die heard 2 stroke fan (like me),and dont like banshee's. me and my girlfriend plan on seling our banshee's and the lt this coming spring to buy two brand new yfz 450's,i dont want a 4 stroke, but it seems inevitable that they are going to take over.

Yep,
$1800 for a 92 is a good deal.

The wife rides an 89 and it rocks.
$.02

Yeah thats sounds like a great deal! offer them lower.. if you walk out still paying 1800 you are still in great shape. if you get it post some pictures.
