which one to buy?thinking bout the z400
is it a good tight trail quad and when u hit the road does it move,and does it like to be ran in low gears alot? wats top speed stock?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

Why the angry face? If you treat other members like that they wont want to help you. While their comments werent all that specific, at least they replied.
While everything you have asked has been posted and discussed more times than I can count on these forums, I'll be kind and indulge you.
It is a good quad. It has plenty of power for the vast majority of recreational riders in stock or piped form.
A pipe, cams, high compression piston and air filter are typical upgrades for good power gains. CDI installs are also common.
The z handles very well in most types of trail riding and has good power. It does lack the low end grunt compared to the power it makes at higher rpms. This is a charachteristic of a dohc design engine but can be offset with the proper modifications.
For the rest, search.
