i have a guy who just emailed me and offered 6200 bucks for my quadracer, in which the the money will be spent to ship it to the UK and for the quad itself...its weird i cant tell if its a scam or not...he says all he needs is my name and address...can they do anything with my address that would be bad?? I am waiting for an email back, but it just all seems too good to be true. He said something about payin by cashiers check and something about the Bank of America or something. How can i tell if its a scam or not?? Approx how much would it be to ship that thing?? Thanks.

STOP!
Its a scam... He will send a cashiers chech and your bank will even clear the check....After a few days and he's had time to apply for credit in your name + has your quad you will get a notice from the bank that the cashiers check is a fraud and you will have to pay the full amount + penalties....

You want proof....tell the dude you want 7900 for the quad and I bet he agrees....

Later~~~~

NOOOOOO...i dont want this to be a scam...isnt there a chance that it could be real though?? Now that u say this i do believe it is a scam because on the first email he already wanted my address and phone number, and the second email he is sayin 6200 without seeing it. He also tried to spice it up by saying " Trust is good "...he got my hopes up...i guess i can just see what he says on his next email...

Scam, but hey; if you are dumb enough to be tricked into it then who am I to stop you. 6200 bucks for a lt250r? Anyone thick enough to believe that deserves to get screwed.

You probably had this for sale on ebay----I have done a lot of selling on ebay myself lately. I had heard about this type of scam myself before, but just 2 days ago I got exactly the same kind of offer. Check out the feedback rating of this buyer----the one who wanted to buy from me had zero. The only way I would sell to someone like this is if he had deposited the money in my paypal account, and even then I would have my doubts. Your friends here on the forum are giving good advice. This buyer is a nightmare.

Tell him to get you a US postal money order. If he does then take it to the post office and see if it's real. I bet you wont get one, though.

I agree about the postal money order----that and paypal, the only truly safe means of payment.
