oh what year is his LT? bc i think i took of my clutch cover w/ out draining any coolant. I think they are separate on my bike. but it's been a long time since i replaced the clutch.

 

91 or 89...I cant remember. I think the frame is 89 and the engine 91 or the other way around.

 

the water pump is on the clutch cover, 85-92 all have the waterpump on the clutch cover.

Looks like we might have a bad head gasket. I took the LT for a ride and its leaking coolant out the overflow hose from the radiator when it warms up or I give it some gas. I did a search and it looks like bad head gaskets cause this, so I might have get the head shaved and a new gasket installed. I dont think my brother let the air out of the cooling system, can that cause this too? Also, I took off the radiator cap and looked into the radiator and couldnt tell if the coolant was circulating or not, it was full btw, is water supposed to flow out of the head and into the radiator?
