heres the deal, On my lt500r my rod bearing blew a couple of weeks ago and i just got apart today and found a small hole in the crank case part there is a sealed cavern between the exhaust valve cavern and the transmission below the crank, it is sealed and i was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and did you weld it or did you run it like this. i dont see how it can hurt it as long as it is sealed so there is no air leaks, lets here your experience or opinion. want to get it back together asap.

 

im not sure i am exactly understanding the break.if it is at the edge where the cases mate its prolly time to get a new case half.if its a hole elsewere id take it to a reputable aluminum welder and get his (or her)opinion.
