Default DAMAGED RADIATOR 2005 KING QUAD

I was riding this weekend with my wife and some of her friends. One of her friend hit a stub with my 2005 king quad . It bend the radiator back and broke the fan. It also bent the lower left A-arm.
My question is I called to get prices for replacement part's.
Radiator $403
fan $215
A-Arm $135

The radiator is the most expensive.
The radiator is still working it is just bent.

Can I bend it back to flat and just replace the a-arm and fan.

THe fan motor still works the blade assemble just got sheared of the fan motor. can I just get the fan it self and put it on the old motor.

If it's not leaking you can try to bend it back... However, the integrity of the radiator may suffer and lead to failure down the road...IMO

Try bending it back....if it works, you just saved some cabbage.... if it doesn't, at least you tried...

RedKing, if you had a beefier bumper, what do you think would have happened?

The stump was below bumper level but high enough to get the lower corner of the radiator.
the way she hit it the stump was just inside of the wheel about 20+ inches tall.
I do not think a bumper would have prevented it.
I think if she would have hit the frame dead on it would have dented the frame and bent it.
THe impact did bend the lower a-arm which is very stout.

I would not bend it back as it would further stress the metal. Replace the fan if you have to and see what happens.

I can not just replace the fan. The fan sits flush against the back of the radiator. The bend is what broke the fan from the motor in the first place.

If I do not bend the radiator back the fan will not fit.

I was wondering if a generic fan would work instead of the original.

You have 750 bucks worth of damage and that does not include labor.

I pay 108 bucks a yr for Insurance on my new KQ.

Where is your insurance?

To be honest I’m NOT impressed with the strength of these new ATV’s. I have two 05 KingQuads with less than 30 miles on it and have already severely bent that gold colored tie-rod from a 5mph hit of a 1 foot tree stump. Seems like a lot of debris can get to that radiator from the gapping hole where the winch should go. What happens when you go through a deep thick mud pit and mud gets in the radiator and prevents the fan from spinning, ($200) fan motor just burn up? Just seems to me that a $7000 ATV would be more rugged, but what do I know I’m just a newbie ATVer

That is not a bad price. Could you tell us which insurance carrier you use? I would like to get a policy.
