05 King Quad
I am in the market for a new Atv. I have been looking at the 05 King Quad to replace my 600 Griz. I was wondering now that the King has been out for a while, if anyone has had any major problem's with CV joints and shafts because of large tires and any other problems note worthy with the atv to date. I was planning on 27" Mudlites on ITP C wheels.
Thanks

There is only like 5 or 6 reported cases of this happening... Dont get too worried.. Its not a wide spread problem. Just a few. Remember , There has been more then 5,000 of these sold so far in the US. % or 6 with problems is not to bad.. I had my worries also, but i purchased one anyway. No problems, Yet

Suzuki's spin on the reverse issue has been that one tech. on the line was installing a clip backwards and that it is not a lubrication problem, the clip being put in backwards shears off and thus the problem. It seemed to happen very quickly in the quads that lost reverse...so that makes me think it could be a true story. Alos if you have noticed it's been several weeks now, and not 1 new case has been listed on the main forums since. The highest number even rumored out there is that there was 8 quads with the problem. 3 have been posted on the forums. The real thing is going to be Time...time will tell if it is lubrication or a backwards clip. Lots of KQ's out there with close to 500 miles on them now.

I would have to say the KQ is a much improved Grizz 660.Better handling, awsome lighting, wide stance, all in all a very well thought out machine. It has VERY small racks, and a very open radiator design, and the front CV's are a little exposed.Take one for a spin if you can then you will know if it's the machie for you!
