Default King Quad Backfire

I just purchased a KQ a few days ago. I have only put about 20 miles on it so far. So far I am very impressed with the power, handling, & features. I have noticed that when you are on and off the throttle it will often bacfire a little(when you let off). There is somewhat of a hesitation when you punch the throttle. It almost seems like it would be simple adjustment if it had a carb but obviously, it doesn't. Any ideas? Also, mine will not wheelie very easily on it's own but I am still happy with the power.

Mine backfired now, but has not done it for the last 100km, i read some other ppl said it goes away with break in. and for the lag....... dont know what to do about that either, all bikes have that. for getten te front end up, it needs pavement, it will sooner spin the tires i fond that crank the front up. dont know if its a tires thing, or a torque thing, but on pavement it will walk up quite well.

very very happywith min... still waiting to see more on the revers gear thing, but its seemed to calmed down some.... spring will be the time to see.

I don't have any backfiring on mine but there is a ton of engine bracking when you let off the throttle.

Mine has no throttle hesitation when you punch it. It does spin the heck out of the Dunlop's though!

With the onset of cooler weather, the mixtures lean out. Seeing how its brand new, it probably doesnt have an intake leak, or exhaust leak, so try 1/4 turn on the mixture screw, going richer.

The King Quad 700 is equipped with EFI, there are no mixture adjustments on this machine...
