LT500vr.Banshee

.....Hey guess it's my turn once again to add my two cents worth. Really to reiterate what was said above. Pound for pound all stock the zilla has top speed, more horse power and ahell of a lot more torque than the banshee could ever have.
I don't own either one and am vary proud of my 250r which could smoke both in the woods or on the track.... but to be honest my R probably couldn't take either in the dunes or on the drag strip. So recently I asked one of the most knowledgeable old school authority figures I personally know how I could modify my R enough to make it a competitive dune screamer. Well, he told me why not just save up about $2,500 and by a used zilla and just throw about a grand or two into it to for suspension and clean up and nothing could come even close to it. I was partial at the time to just buying a banshee already modified, but he told me it would take one seriously expensive banshee to even come close. He said just stay away from the 87 zilla and you've got yourself the fastest thing around for about a third of the price.
....Oh well just my two cents worth... but I now what I'm purchasing next summer for second quad.

In all seriousness, it all comes down to what you want and how big you are. If you are 250 lbs I dont think you will be comfortable on a banshee but if you are under 200 lbs and shorter than 6 foot it really is a good bike. I dont like my banshees because of the riding that I do. I primarily ride trails and punch bowl style sand pits and it seems that in the trails I am always clutching the banshee to keep the rpm up at the top where the power is. Well in the end the decision is yours unless your like me and cant decide so you have one or more of each race style quad. Good luck.

On the dunes, if your 250 is piped, it should keep up with the Zillas and Banshees on the dunes. Mine does. It only has a pro circuit pipe and I beat piped banshees and only raced one piped Zilla, but beat it. SURPRISED me!

First of all, sorry for digging up an old post, I was just doing a search on quadzilla's and found this post. It's kinda funny how a 250R with a pro circuit pipe could hang with a quadzilla in a drag race, considering Pro circuit doesn't even make a pipe for the 250R.

I`ve raced several zillas with my raptor and got my a$$ handed to me. I have raced several banshees and won. Ive also owned a 89 zilla. Id say without a doubt the zilla would beat the banshee(in the real world) I could be bias. I`ve always loved the zilla. I have a complete motor waiting in the garage now. Wheres that lt250 roller?
