Default kooking at 160 quadrunner

I'm going to buy my son a new quad in Jan. and am looking at the 160 quadrunner he is 15yrs old and has been on atv's since he was 4yrs old and is a very competant rider. The 90 he is riding now is tricked out as far as it can go . my question is has anybody had one of these and what did you think . Thanks for the input in advance

I think he needs something bigger, I'm 15 riding a 250 quadrunner and I'm already wanting more out of it. What kind of riding will he be doing and does he like to get aggressive?

He'll love it going from a 90 you can find great deals on those 160s too. Sounds perfect for what you want it for.

My vote would say that you should consider a slightly larger bike. 15 is real close to the full adult size range, a size that the LT160 'officially' fits into now. While the LT160 will be a nice jump from a 90, I think a 15 year old with 11 years riding experience can handle more. Also, since the LT160 is on the small side for adult quads, he could soon outgrow it. I'd give a serious look at the Ozark or Recon or the Z250/250EX sport versions.

My 13 year old has been riding for 7 years. While he still rides the 90 that he has had since he was 8 he lives for the rides when mom stays home so he can take her Ozark instead. Even at 13, it's obvious that he fits the Ozark much better than the TRX90 - I actually feel that he is safer riding the 250. Well probably get another 250 that will be 'his' ride, I expect that to last him until he's out on his own and can buy his own quad.
