if u want loud get the HMF. i dont know about dB's for the Z, but i asked HMF what the dB was for their exhaust on the 660, and they said 106-107dB's

 

it should say somewhere on ur quad what the stock db limit is. stock on alot of quads is like 87db. pro circuit has optional endcaps for their exhaust. rutelis has a t-4 on his raptor and he has a big *** endcap for top end that is loud as h*ll. and he has a smaller one for a little bottom end that isnt insanely loud, but its around like 92db probably

 

stock is around 87 db. 98db is pretty loud. alot of aftermarket exhausts u can an optional endcap that quiets it down to abour 94db. my friends t-4 on his raptor has 2 endcaps, one small and one big. the small one is exceptable, but my dad always yells when he has the big one on because its way too loud. oops SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST

 

No see I dont think the s/a removed is too loud. I think it is perfect. nice low rumble at idle and when u go WOT it still has a nice sound without being overly loud or obnoxious.

 

if u wanna get loud, get a yoshi.......mines loud as hell wit just a silencer

 

Call me an old f--k, I really don't care. But let me ask a question. Are you guys-w/ the loudass pipes/silencers(?) running on closed courses? Because if you aren't, think about your/our riding areas getting shut-the-f--k down. I am an ADVOCATE of higher performance, but if it sacrifices riding area, IT AIN"T PERFORMING! Is a couple of HP/#'s of torque worth the beotches complaining (and usually succeeding in the name of the Spotted Horn Rimmed Speed Slug, or whatever other unknown creature the Green Peace a$$holes are campaigning for) winning their war on ATV's? Their main leverage point, aside from what our tires do, is NOISE POLLUTION. Don't add fuel to their fire. Thanks. Just consider it.

I agree with 4xzuk. I only run my silencer off when I go to my grandpas ranch wich is like 82 acres big and all open field and some woods and even then the exhaust can get annoying to me!

 

Note if you do take his advice to add on a little pipe because I've seen this done, and it burns through plastic. If you lack in funs. Tru taking off the stock silencer and making a shorty out of it. Not many people do but it does make it loud, and does increase in power.
