My Quad is running great and starts on the first kick when the bike is in neutral. When and if I have to start the bike in gear while holding the clutch in it wont start. Why is this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Mine is kind of like that too. I bought mine used and it seems to be in decent shape. Not the best but better than lots I have seen. Mine starts right up in neutral and they told use when looking at it you had to start it in neutral in gear it will start but kind of moves forward a little like your trying to start it in gear without the clutch in but not that much and it starts up. I don't know why this is I assumed it was normal is it not?

i had the exact problem on my rm 250, heres the fix, your clutch isnt worn, what needs to be replaced is the silver spacer pressure plates inside the clutch if they are at anyway discolored, this happens from people heating them up and riding the clutch to get through technical terrain, or just riding the clutch because they dont know how to ride very well, not haveing the clutch engaged all the way and revving it will lead to warping of them, replace the silver plates and you will be able to start in gear.

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. I started with the easiest and adjusting the clutch cable and it now works. Guess i had it a bit tight.
Thanks.
