Default Z250 Spark arrestor removal?

OK, I just removed the allen head screw(bolt) that holds the spark arrestor in on new Z250. Now can't figure how to remove the thing, is the whole outer pipe supposed to come off or just the inner sleeve looking portion? I have sprayed the area with some penetrating oil, but nothing wants to turn or pull-out. What the deal?

The manual says remove the bolt, and remove spark arrestor. But I've had strap wrenches, visegrips, etc. on it and it doesn't move or I'm a dumb ___ and doing something wrong, but a spark arrestor should be pretty simple I would think.

Electric shift has got it---All u have to do is unscrew that little allen wrench bolt with a allen wrench and take a pair of plyers to the little lip and pull it out (may take some force) and make sure u put a peice of cloth or sumthing under the pliers otherwise the paint will come off.

If it still doesnt come out take a rubber mallot and bang on it a bit

Got R Done, never would have thought it would have taken that much pulling to remove.
Thanks for the aggressive tip. I will probably put it back in or modify it. It did not really increase noise level as much as I thought it would, so maybe it is not all that restrictive. I am still looking for jetting help and will "bump" my post.
