Nope, too lean.
When it runs better with the choke on, that eliminates mechanical and electrical as the problem. Got the air lid on? Is it totally stock?
Its possible there is crud floating around in the float bowl, and when you hit it in reverse, the crap goes forward towards the jets, instead of normally being sent to the rear of the float bowl. Id start there...drop the float bowl and look for crap in the gas. If you pour the contents into a clean paper towel, you might see it better.
If things look clean, try 1/4 turn or even 1/2 turn richer on the mixture screw.

I could be wrong.... but I think you're looking for a problem where there is none. He stated his "new" eiger. I think he is just experienceing the reverse rev limiter. In which case he will be messin wit the carb for nothin. I think the fact that it's only doing it in reverse should tell you it's not a carb problem. Not a problem at all, just the reverse rev limiter.
