That sounds like a great deal, but it all depends on the condition. By the way i love the low end power of the Z, its so easy to do wheelies on.

I sold an 03 z400 back in aug. with full skids, new razr's on t9's, denton steering stablizer and a 42t rear sprocket for 3650.00 I might have had 30hrs. on it. I started selling it in july at 4250.00 with a set of works pro series shocks with rezzies and finally took the shocks off and sold them sep. everybody said "man the 04's are out". So maybe where you are that's a good price, but down here they'd be lucky to get 3600.00, cause "man the 05's are out".

You could get a NEW 2005 for about $4800-4900 OTD. A little more $ ($900-1000) but 2 years newer, And the 05's have been "tweeked" just a little. Maybe thats not good for your wallet but I would spend the extra $ for new.

LTZ400 $5,799 $4,949 IN STOCK
KFX400 $5,799 $4,749 IN STOCK

This is at the dealer where I bought my Vinson for $5614 OTD where it is about $6600 OTD everywhere else.
Listed is the LTZ and KFX MSRP then the dealers asking price. $4799 for the KFX. Now these are before tax, but Im out of state where I buy so no state tax, also this dealer is in NY, Troy City Garage. Im in Texas now and there is a dealer that Im going to buy my KQ from for $6700 OTD when it is about $7700 everywhere else. Some guys have gotten them cheaper than that. They are in Lake Charles Louisiana, and you can get a Z400 there for about $48-4900 OTD. You guys need to shop around your getting took!

I can tell you for sure!!! Me and my girlfriend just bought her a brand new '05 Z400 for $5600 out the door. We didn't put any money down due to we are going to pay it off this month, but financed it and thats what we paid. We spent a lot of time looking at used, and new bikes from all years and here is what I found. I have found numerous '03's for around $3000. A lot of them had many aftermarket parts, but be very aware of those bikes simply because most people that put aftermarket parts on there bikes tend to ride them a little harder than people who leave there bikes stock. I have not seen the bike that you are referring to but can say that unless the bike has under 20 hrs on it I would not pay that price for it. If he would be willing to sell it for $3500 and it has under 20 hrs on it than I would say it is a good deal, but other than that keep looking because you will find a better deal.

Good luck
