my friend told me that a quadzilla is the fastest bike <u>ever</u> but i dont beleive him..... so just how fast will a quadzilla go?........My other friend just wanted 2 know how fast his 87 230 quadrunner will go he just got it and dont have a speedometer or any thing..........any input will help thanx

 

Let me first say, questions like this will usually get flamed because of the frequency they're asked and the general nature of the question. This tends to pis$ off some of the more respectable guys around here, which you do not want to do, if you ever have a problem with you bike they are the ones who will help you out the most. Now, an LT500R stock for stock could very will be the fastest quad ever MANUFACTURED! I hear the YFZ450 is close though, but I have never seen the two race, so I don't know. Now on to the LT230. I had an 87 Quadsport 230 and it had a Uni clamp on and was rejetted. It's top speed was approximately 55MPH, however I do not know if that was with stock gearing.

yfz is nowhere close. topspeed of yfz is 72-73, and the zilla can easily reach 80 stock.

 

a yfz is more like 75-77. it is the same or 1mph or so off of every other sport quad 450cc and up.

 

i doubt 77, my buddies raptor goes 77-78. and a yfz cant come close in topspeed with him. he just pulls away slowly

 

wait a min. u say it cant come close,but yet is pulled on slowly? rider weight has a lot to do wioth it to. out by me both 450s,pred,banshee all seem to be the same. if theres a difference ud need a very big straight to even notice

 

about 5 mph diff. which is alot when dealing with these speeds, but its not like hes flying ahead like a crotchrocket vs a quad.......
