Default Douglas rims getting stuck?

I removed my rear wheel today, and it actually took some effort to get the douglas wheel off of the four studs, I'm guessing because the metal is softer. I did get it off, but how do I prevent the wheel from fusing up to the studs? My dad suggested I put washers behind the wheels on the studs, anyone tried that?

I too have recently had that problem. I was told to drill the holes out just a littly bit larger. I did it just today so I do not know how it will work. I can tell you they were easier going on.
