if you are asking us and never expiranced racing you are gonna be in for it. you better go to the track i suggest before you buy ANYTHING, when you see the sick **** that goes on ik you will think twice, and espacially on that z-250, there is no way i would race that thing. wheel spacers are a no no, you need axle and a-arms, with good shocks. to handle the jumps.
why would you want to wheelie while you are racing????? you want to jump long and low to keep speed, keep all 4 tires on the ground to.
i would HIGHLY suggest a magura hydrolic manual clutch, because the fact of beating the heck outta a auto clutch gives me the chills. you really cant get a great holeshot on a auto clutch
here are parts you WILL need
nerfs, and a killswitch (mandatory)
Here are parts you might want to consider buying if you are serious
works shocks, and try to find a company with +2 arms, and get a +4 axle, +2 extended swingarm(idk if anyone even makes one is a problem) bumper, ditch the skid plates if you ARE on a track. remove the headlight. dont do wheel spacers unless you want the wheels rolling by you when you land a jump, as they snap off the wheel studs..... you want to get a exhaust. to my knowledge dmc, and yoshi make em, but i dont really like dmc, and the yoshi is pricey, now if you were me(but your not) i would call up joe mack at HMF, and have them custom make me a full Carbon fiber system, that would be trick and have good power gains+ uni filter and jetting spot on would make decent power.
i really am not sure you can race a z-250, however on the flip side you arent old enough to race a 400ex, there is a 250-0r 300 cap on your age group i belive......

Sounds to me u just want everything! Well first the above suggestion is great. U should definitly go to watch a race before u ever plan on attending one! From my experience on my Z the stock suspension would not handle a track with a ton of big jumps or whoops sections. Trust me on that one (broken bone story). The power is prolly adequate for a short track with not any long straights. This is y u should check out the track first. Clutch kit definitly, new tires definitly, nerfs fro sure (I did run over my own foot when I first got it trying to outrun a dirtbike on local trails/track I ride at (very stupid). Just figure out what u want please before posting questions like this for us all to answer!
