If anyone knows vinnies, its 581.

 

The Vinson has a sight glass on the right side of the motor that even a girl could use to check the oil.

 

hmm...that's good to know......the quad is still covered in west virginia mud from right after I bought it....I would never have seen it. yea it was stupid for me not to check the oil...but still there was no warning until it was too late.....at least I was riding in the snow on the road and not in the woods when it broke...

 

You think ur vinson is a pile of crap? you should see my Ozark.Its been rolled,flipped,run into......The frame is bent the plastic dosent even fit the neutral light dosent work nor does my back brake light. Consider yourself lucky

 

yea well muddy mess, that was user inflicted damage, not something that wasnt the persons fault, change the oil try to be good to it, and the motor seizes, now hows that for luck.

muddy mess, at least you can ride your pile of crap! I just gotta save some money and hopefully pretty soon my 581 will do better wheelies than my z400 did!!

How did the oil filter cause you to lose oil ? bad seal ?

 

I would like to know what happened to the oil filter as well.

 

Thats not the first time I have heard of the vinson losing oil, but I think the others were from the plug being vibrated lose.

Could have been the filters too but I only heard the issues from the owners who all had them serviced at a local dealer, so deff look into getting them to cover it since similar things have happened.
