May have been covered before but I just want to be clear. Will a honda 450r front shocks work on a 89 LT250r?

yes they will work...250R, 400EX, and 450R shocks all work on 87-92 with no modifications, 85-86 need the bracket. I got 400ex shocks, i heard they work awesome. I looked at 450R shocks on ebay, and they are realllly expensive. You could get a set or works for about how much they go for, and works would definitely be better. ( set up for your rider weight, etc ). But if you get them, tell us how they are.

yes they will work, i have a set for my 91, i have put them on but havent ridden on them yet,as my quad is in the middle of restoration.im on gonna use them for a alittle while until i put on my new a arms. The adjustability and the resivoirs make them a good bang for the buck in my opinion.later

i wouldnt be surprised if the 450 shocks turned out to be too stiff because they are going to be set up for having more leverage on the shocks ( 450 has much longer a arms the an LT ) and they are also set up for more MX. But i would say they are worth trying..
