There is a big difference between the 04 LTZ and the 5 model. The 05 model in stock makes the same HP on the dyno as a 04 model with full pipe, no airbox lid, jet kit and pro-flow air cleaner. The modified 04 model makes lots more torque low down, but HP output is similar between the stock 05 and the modified 04's

In the drags the 05 stocker has no problem running with the modified 04's and even beating them.

We will arrange a drag day again and hopefully we will have more LTZ’s and Predators joining us. I am just as amazed as most people on this forum that the LTZ got the upper hand.

Riding the predator tells me that thing has very good power output. It just keeps on pulling thru the RPM range, so I am not here to talk bad about it. The new gear ratio might not be the best thing for 300ft drags. 2nd is to tall and 1st is to short and brings up the front to much.

The LTZ launches very well in 2nd gear.

In modified form, the end results might be completely different.
