That's a fair price on a machine that's not been molested too bad. Look for frame integrity, loose bearings/bushings, bent/broken frame work (Especially in the frontal area where shocks/A-arms mount.)
What's been done to the motor?
Plastic condition? original? Tires? many many factors, but a clean decent older 250 should bring $1,500 pretty easy.

I will be able to handle it i have been riding for over 5 years now. I usually ride in on my friends Mx track on his Z, because we cant ride where we use to. I am going to look into it more.
