There is no aluminum quad but a Cannondail for 1. And no you frame probably ain't going to crack unless you really beat it hard.

If you go off big jumps it will probley crack. But you can get it welded and gussets put on. They are not made of aluminum

There was a batch of 03's that had a weak weld at the shock mounts, there so called "04'-05" fix was only a view more welds. You can purchase a gusset kit for around 70 bucks and have it welded and never worry about it again. I personally have the Arens Frame brace which has been doing a pretty good job in that area. The biggest thing is not to run your front shocks to soft and bottom them out everytime you ride. A shock up grade also helps reduce the frame cracking issue. Since there is rust all ready there I would sand the rust away and cover it with some paint. The rust is what causes the frames to crack (rust eats metal).

The frames weren't cracking because they were rusting out. The frames were cracking becaue Suzuki used a weak design, and a junk alloy. The 2004's likely have a better alloy, and the 2005's have a slight gusset, and better shocks. I wouldn't buy a 2003, and if I had one, I'd get it gusseted. The frames rust there because it flexes too much, and cracks the paint. Then with repeated flexing the metal fatigues, and will eventually crack.

I had no problems my first season of hard a$$ desert riding. After that, I hedged my bets though and put on the Arens Bros brace. Gone 3 seasons now with no problems! I highly recommend the brace, but somewhere I heard Arens is out of buisness??? To late for you if it has already cracked.
