Default A few q's from a potential buyer!

I'm going to be picking up a new KQ ,red in color, next week. The dealer said he'll have the new ( 01 ) ecm in by then. (01) is the last #'s on the ecm. If it doesn't have 01, then have them (the dealer were you got it) change it out.
Can someone please answer how the Locker works!
Does it stay in Locker mode all the time till you switch the lever down?
Can you use it in High gear?
Also, How does the engine brake work. Is it ALL wheel engine brake?, or is it 2 wheel (rear) engine brake.
Who has the best rear storage rack/seat for the KQ?
How about the Winch? Where do I get a winch with bracket?

How much should I be paying for a KQ? IS $ 6995.00 OTD a good price? (This price is with out TAX as I'm buying it out of state).

Sorry about all the Q's,

Rick

I read somewhere that you have to replace your belt after 1200 miles? IS this true?

..many of us have paid around $6500 -6800.00.. I paid $6399.00 then add tax & license.....just wait awhile..when word finally gets around about the MAJOR reverse failure problem...the kingquads will be collecting dust and high intrest rates on dealers showroom floors..are you sure you want this problem.. surf over to www.highlifter.com then read and read..then come back here and tell us about your decision... ahem..mistake

thank goodness for these forums.....I was going to buy a King Quad about a week and a half ago. I would'nt touch one now after hearing all the information on their transmission issue on this as well as other forums. Theres a couple online petitions around that you can sign both as an owner or perspective buyer of the KQ. I signed one of them at ATVquadsquad. I like the yamaha grizz....but now am thinking maybe I should just hang onto a clunker for another year until susuki takes care of the problems PROPERLY....not with an electronic restriction on the use of reverse. There are just SO many people saying so many great things about the KQ were it not for this issue. And I hear many comments about the smooth ride....and thats important to me. Thanks to all for the "heads up"....keep the info and updates coming!

suzuki was sooo close for taking a major market share from other mfg's..!!! Not now..can you believe any company throwing away this opportunity..... by screwing the owners with the bill, for a future fix of a reverse failure..I'm just about sick about this..I've heard costs for repairs up to $2500.00 for this damage...and suzuki go's on saying..this is NO problem with their design...
