im pretty sure the question was "which is a better overall quad for trailriding?" not who will win a race buddy.....the z250 would be way more reliable for the trails

So an extra inch or two of GC makes the z a better trail machine? Reliability? The warrior and that engine has been around for probably close to as long as you have, its easily one of the most reliable engines ever put in any atv that didn't say HONDA on the side.

And if you want to get real picky about GC, the warrior's extra power and additional gear would enable you to gear the bike down and use bigger tires for more GC without losing much speed or power. Try that with your shaft drive.

The z250 is a great machine, but you need to know its place and its place is among the other 200-250cc bikes.

Like always a person with a z is going to say a z is better and a person with a raptor is going to say a raptor is better.First of all its hard to compare to different bikes it all depends on how you ride and where you ride i say people should ride both and see whitch one you liek better.

Like I said in a earlier response I have a Raptor 350 and a Z 250. I really agree that the Raptor is definetly my favorite but it has alot to do with skill of the rider to which would be the best. But for a skilled rider I would say the Raptor.

I've got a z250 and would MUCH rather have a raptor for trails or even track. Much better all around machine.

It all depends on skill, riding style, and type of riding. For a new rider or on tight trails with lots of technical stuff and mud the Z250 might be better because you won't have to worry about stalling the engine and also the shaft drive. For a more experienced rider riding on more open trails, then the Raptor might be a better choice because of the larger size, more engine displacement and manual clutch.

your not goin to stall if ya know how to ride with a clutch... i go through alot of really tight trails with rocks and logs and i am perfictly fine with the clutch i personally think its easier to use the clutch cause i can pop it to get the front wheels up a bit for the bigger logs even when the trail is really tight and slow like 1st gear slow...

I'd take the Rap350, The Z250 is just a mini 2WD utility quad without racks, and with "sport" plastics.
