How many of these things are still around? I've got one that needs crank seals and I'm wondering if I should spend the money to fix it. It is my sons flat-track racer. Pics are in my gallery.

That's a pretty trick looking 50 you got there.

These little quads are still around. My son rides an '86 LT50 and he also has an '83 ALT 50 Trail Buddy three wheeler. They continued to sell the LT50 in Canada up through the 90's. I believe the new quadsport 50 uses pretty much the same motor. It just has different plastic, shocks, and other items. Also, I've heard that Suzuki is re-releasing the old LT50 calling in the LT50 JR. I've seen a picture of one on the internet and it's looks pretty much the same as the old Lt's.

I'm fixing ours... found one in a weed pile.

It runs but barely... needs new rings or ??? (Not much compression)
needs new seat cover, and chain/sprockets, and probably axle bearings... pretty rough shape, but shouldn't be too bad to fix up provided I can find the parts.

Anyone have suggestions for parts suppliers? Guess I should be able to cross ref to the newer stuff. I'd love to find a pipe for it.

fix it the kids will love it. I found my sons in a load of scrap metal my father in law picked up the tank was full of rusty water and it had 20 years of mud and spilled 2stroke oil crusted on it, but it had compression and spark so I took it home striped it down, pressure washed it, flushed out the fuel tank, added an inline fuel filter, and cleaned the carb out. My sons been riding it since he was 3 1/2 years old, hes 7 now and still loves his quad. It by far is the best return on a $12 investment I could ever hope for....

Ron I can take pics for you if it helps and email them to you or if thats a cell number I can text/mms them to you.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner.
BTW keep in mind the one I have is a 1986 model and may be different if yours is newer. My sons * years old and out grown it now but I still have it and my 6 year old daughter rides the wheels off it.
