Great news everybody. Johnny Gallagher directed me to a cable from Carb Parts Warehouse. It goes from the stock throttle to an FCR carb. No more tapping or buying a new throttle!!

Hey witti, I have a question in the forums under 2004 z400 mods help , can you reply to it since you have had that wortk done on your quad thanks...

 

Mucky I know your handle bars are renthal but is there a model? I like the looks of them and want them for my quad, And how did you get the ignition and the lights to sit flesh mounted like that? Do you like how the renthal bars feel? How much? And where do I find the set up that you have at?

 

they are renthal atv bars. cost around $65 when I got them. you can get them at any dealer or go here bars
as for the ignition and lights thats a trail tech bar clamp that my speedometer fits in

 

How do you like the speedo? is it acurate? can you take it on and off when you need to or is it always mounted on? and how can you see it, isnt the renthal bar pad in the way? I was looking at the trail tech bar clamps and there are two I saw for the z 400 the one that you have? and just a regular clamp. I like the looks of the clamp that you have but I dont want the speedometer on it. can I get it without the speedometer with the lights on the bottom? I like how the lights are on the bottom of the clamp like yours instead of the top.............

yes you can remove the speedo and its pretty accurate as long as you have it set up right
I can see the speedo over the bar pad I just have to lean forward a little

 

Mucky, what bend do you have for your bars and what size 7/8 or 1 1/8?? they seem to only have the color silver for the 7/8 renthal bars and I kinda wanted black any ideas on what sizes and bend I should run? I dont know where I can get black race bend renthal bars. and I do want to get the trail tech dashbored mount any ideas? im having trouble trying to pick this stuff out. thanks

 

they're 7/8 bars, dont know the bend. all I know is they're called atv bars
rockymountainatv. com has the black ones but were out of stock last time I looked
