Hey guys, im lookin to buy an 05 wheeler.. and ive narrowed it down to z400 or 400ex... i was wondering which one is faster.. more reliable... better handling.. etc... if any1 could help me out it would be much appreciated... the old blaster aint cutting it any more lol

 

im being polite here and guys correct me if i am wrong. *slaps rebel man is face" buy a z400 way better machine all around. Mods up easy and plenty of power

 

given the probs i had with my 04.....if i was to get an 05 4 wheeler right now and it had to be a 4 stroke id get teh 400 ex

Matter of opinion I suppose, but I would say, the Z has had reverse longer, easy to mod, is a comfy ride, and I love mine. I rode with a whole lot of Honda riders and my Z400 seemed to be a better machine all around for the money. Holds the value. JMHO.

 

in the latest dirtwheel mag the Z ranked better then the ex. i'd get the Z

 

If you are using dirtwheels as an authority on atv purchases then you've got some problems. You are more likely to get unbiased opinion from a 14 year old on these forums.

The 2005 EX would have been a great matchup for the 2004 Z, but the 2005 Z is once again a couple steps ahead. Go with the Z.

 

i personally would get the 400 ex because it is more reliable and is a pretty fast bike and is easy to mod but i just also like yamaha and honda but i don't have a problem with kawasaki because i like kawasaki just not as much bacause i wanted a kfx 400 also but decide to go with yamaha.

 

I was in the same dilema about a month ago. After speaking to the dealer in regards to the type of riding I would be doing (mostly trail) he said to go with the Z. The main reason behind his recommendation was the Z being liquid cooled. The dealer sells both brands and said with the upgrades done for 05, you can't go wrong. I have no regrets and love my new 05![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

no matter what u r doin the z will beat out the ex in any way go for the z its the way to go
