Default NEW* CDI QUSTION 10,000RPM limit LOOK Z400

hey i can get a CDI for my z400, it rasies the rev limit to 10,000RPM, would that be a good investment for 100$ shipped? bad for engine? let me know

be swure to look at that are you sure u dont mean 1000-1400 rpm raise?

NO i know exactly waht i am talking about, makes max rpms 10,000 (TEN THOUSAND)

i was told it wont to damege if i dont keep it up there for a long time.

The question is ; Will it be making power at 10,000? 10,000 could be past the cam range and you would just be reving the engine higher for no reason.

I agree with styelz. It sounds like a great way to sling your motor in a million pieces. Most of the ones I've seen only raise the rpm 1000. The only way I would do it is if I was trying to blow up my engine to put a 440 kit and cams in.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

raising the rev limit is pointless unless you have port work and a top end cam that lets you make some power in that RPM... stock engine power falls off at like 6,000 rpm, with a radical cam it falls at like 7,000 put makes more power after the peek, called over revv...
