who makes the CDI box? once you hit 7000/7500 rpm you lose power very quick
I had a big gun limiter on mine and it went to 9700 and it didnt make any difference on power
I have the DYNA cdi now and it hits close to 10,000 and it made a major change in power and revs

I know that a raise of 1000rpm will not harm your engine, that is actually what the DRZ engine revs at witch is our engine basically. Now with just a CDI alone the power in the extra rpms will be very 'soft' until you get cams and raise the compression then it will be much stronger power.
