To cut a long story short I got a set of carbon tech reeds from www.thumpertalk.com but the did not fit, i sent them back and sent a tracing of what i thought were stock reeds. So far TT have contacted carbon tech and boyesen but they both say thats not a tracing of a stock reed. My reeds are fiberglass and have one split up the middel also there is a blue stirp at the top holding them in and they have three screws. Can anybody tell me if they are stock or some other kind. Also so it is a 87 zilla.

 

how many petals does it have, should have 3 or 4

 

mine are fiberglass and have a blue thing at the top...they are FMF torque reeds.

 

Mine has 2 petals. Its a UFR (unidentified fu*king reed)

 

Sounds like the FMF reed cage and petals to me....

FMF isn't bad... just not as good as the stocker with some good quality petals. Seems to me like the cage is pretty small and restrictive.
That's just my opinion... Some folks really like them, along with their pipes..

 

yea my builder is porting my stock cage and im puttin Boyeson Pro series reeds on with no stops. He said thats about the best setup you can get, but he said Vforce is really good too.

 

Damn I wish I had my stock cage cause I was gonna get carbon tech or boyesen reeds. Any mods I can do this cage?
