Whn you replace the main seals on the crank, the oil seal and the seal by the stator,do you have grease them up or oil them or prime them or anything? will it hurt the seals if you dont? 2 stroke motor by the way lt250r

i would say you need to grease them up with at least some tranny oil. I was thinkin of doing crank seals on mine...how hard was it?

if you have got the right tool to pull them, you can do it without splitting the cases.i did mine while my engine was totally dissasembled,so it was easy. when i replaced my water pump seals it said to grease them,so i was weandering if the crank seals were the same

i would definitely say grease them. Without splitting the cases...is there very much disassembly of the clutch or stator side to get to them.

well you have to take the flywheel and the magneto off of one side, and on the other you have to remove the main gear and counterbalancer gear, then its just a matter of getting the old seals out, good luck
