03 z400 chain adjustment

Default 03 z400 chain adjustment

ive had my z400 for about a month now. great machine. I bought it used, its an 03. The chain is too loose and i cant figure out the adjustment. any explanations on how to tighten the chain?

ok then i can't help. if you look i think there is two or four bolts on the rear of the swingarm, and if you loosen them theres somekind of adjuster you move and i will move the whole swingarm back slightly.

There are 4 bolts on the back and top of the swing-arm that have to be loosened, then adjust the bolts (the two sticking out the end of your swing-arm).

hey, you have to make sure you take the brake caliper off first, and make sure you turn the two bolts on the back of the swing arm evenly to get even wear.
