Kingme, you machine looks great in those pictures, nice rims! Question - The photo of the RAD shield, is that something you had made or is it commercially available and why did you find the need to add it?

Thanks.

Eigerslider, Thanks for the compliment. The rad shield is just something I made. The rad just looks like it is vulnerable to some flying rocks. Especially if you have the wheels cranked. I sent a template to some one, havnt heard if he made one and how it worked out though.

Kingme, I am leaning toward the King Quad, would it be possible to get a copy of that template also. I have a client that manufactures metal products and they could cut it out of aluminium for me on their laser table.

Much appreciated!

Eigerslider, you were the one who made up the online petition werent you? Sending you a template is the least I could do for your work on that, thanks. Send me a pm with your address and what not and I'll send it off. I used 1/8" aluminum but I think some thing less thick would work fine.

I believe, but maybe i'm wrong, the polaris doesn'nt have a pull start, thats important. It's also heavier and more expensive. What i do like is the slightly higher ground clearance and front storage box. I meet some other polaris riders and we compared quads, it was good to see the do's and don'ts.

I own both. The KQ is more sporty and faster. The Sportsman is designed to be the better quad for hunting and utility. The KQ lacks good tires, skid plate protection and has smallish racks for utility. The Sportsman has great racks, great storage, good tires and better under carriage protection but is simply to heavy to be a great sporty quad.
If your riding is biased towards sport buy the KQ. If you are looking for more of a hunting or utility machine buy the Sportsman. Thats my .02 cents if it matters.

we have both of them. the kq is faster but the 800 is a torque monster. the kq is better over-all with options and performance. Seems like the 800 suspension is better. looks much beefier. 800 is a little sexier looking too.
