Default Bent tie-rod

I've had my kingquad 700 for about a month now and love it. Yesterday I bent the right front tie-rod while stuck in some mud. It bent into somewhat of a wide "U" shape. We were able to straighten it (almost) using another riders winch, which at least made it possible to drive back. Has anyone else had problems with the tie-rods? They don't seem to be very sturdy!! Does anyone have any recommendations for replacement? I don't trust the oem rod!

WOW!!! Ya bent it in a MUD HOLE??? They should be much stronger than that. I've heard of the kawis having tie rod problems but never the zukis.

I guess I was forcing the steering trying to get traction. But it still shouldn't have bent that easily.

you are not the only one. I bent mine on the second day of owning it and the new parts won't be released til the week of april 5th at the earliest. i have been going at it with the dealer bc mine bent going through a field and hitting a grass speed bump. I also have a problem with reverse. My reverse studders a lot when the wheels have free spin i.e. mud. Can't get out of them and their answer was "why back up?" if you find any aftermarket tie rods please let me know cuz i would like to be able to ride again someday.

Sorry you're having problems,

Suzuki must have rushed that quad because from what i've read it has alot of problems. Reminds me of the first year grizzlies lol

I bent both sides and sleeved them with galvanized pipe so i could ride. I put the new oem's on for now, and will take the old ones to a machine shop to see what they can do. I got mine from here yesterday, click on steering knuckle. KQ
