I just got a copy of 4 wheel atv action the other day and they did a shootout, of quads under 7000 dollars. they included the suzuki vinson, new honda 500 foreman polaris 500 ho and a brute force 650, they included the BF because it was in the same price rangs as the 500's. I was disappointed that they rated the polaris higher than the zuki, especially with the polaris weighing in at 715 lbs!! I wonder about some of these magazines ratings and who tests them.

 

I think they were just giving Polaris props for the improvements they gave it for '05. The Sportsman is a nice machine! It's just not for me and you. If Suzuki added a few new things for '05 (like a locker!!!) then I bet they would have rated it greater or equal to the Sportsman.

You can't get mad over these silly magazine reviews. What matters is what quad is best for you. I didn't buy my Brute Force 650 because some magazine said they liked it.

 

yes you are probably right. We buy them because we like them. How do you like yourBF? My buddy has a prairie 700, I couldn't believe its power! Yes I wish suzuki would add a locker, but I haven't been in a situation where I really needed it , if I get in too much of a mess I'll just use my winch!But the aftermarket also offers a locker. Thanks for the reply. btw I have an 04 vinson 5 speed.

 

I love my Brute Force. So far so good. The HMF system really woke it up!
