Hey. Do a search under quadzilla or zilla in the forms and you should come up with like endless zilla topics. Anything and everything to do with it.

How fast will a zilla go stock and what are most modified ones running at?
What other 4 wheeler would be in the same class as a zilla?

The zilla is in a class of its own, but if anything belongs in that class then it would be the banshee that originally prompted zuki to build the zilla.

The suzuki's engines were mostly known for their torque due to their exhaust power valves (note that 85 & 86 250's had a different engine and don't have the power valves). The 250 quadracer had the most low end torque of all the 250 two stroke ATV's. It's top end was nearly identical to the Honda. (Tecate's had the best top end). Stock for stock, I'd put the qracer over the Honda because it was quite a bit lighter and had more torque, although the Honda's had better front end geometry for MX racing. For serious pros, the aftermarket Honda 250's are better than anything you can buy for the Suzuki. (Of course, not much left on those machines is still Honda except the transmission...Aftermarket cyliders with power valves, round tube frames, a-arms, swing arm, etc..) IMO, the best thing about the Honda is that you can still buy quite a bit of aftermarket stuff for them. The Suzuki is very limited in this dept.

As for the quadzilla, It wasn't built in response to the banshee because they both came out in '87. The R&D for the zilla had long been in the works before the banshee was released. A mint fresh stock Zilla has 51-52 hp and weighs 392 lbs (less than a Raptor). Also, if you ever ride one, the low end torque is unbelievable considering it's a 2 stroke. It pulls the low rpm's like a newer large bore 4 stroke. A bone stock zilla was clocked at over 79 mph in a drag race in an old 3&4 wheel action magazine.
