Hey i am fairly new to riding, but have had my 05 z400 since december, recently my roomate and i (who has an 04 Z400) have been getting into fast takeoffs, and some drag runs. Some people said 2nd gear is the best, but we always bog down before getting some good speed. WHat is the best way to start off??? high RPMs??? let me know please, thank you

I use 2nd gear for take offs. just rev the rpm's a little higher and slip the clutch alittle
but it wears the clutch
