Best Z400 MX exhaust
#1
What are your guys opinions on the best Z400 MX exhaust. I need something that sounds awesome. Very good low end and mid range. And accelaration. And looks. I am thinking HMF a lot. Because I hear nothing but good things about them.. But I did hear that they are a cheap pipe. Meaning poorly made. Is this true? Whats the best MX exhaust do you think?

about every 15 posts is a "Which is the best exhaust" question, so its not even something you need to 'SEARCH' for... Don't be lazy, Read the forum, if you don't then you really don't want anyone's help..
As it says an uncountable amount of times threw out the forum...
1. Yoshimura
2. HMF
3. CT Racing
Those 3 pipes are the most pouplar, all 3 are great pipes. The CT is the quietest. The Yoshimura is considered to be the best, and the HMF is real close to the Yoshimura. CT also puts out great power.
You said you like what you've been hearing about the HMF, just order it. You'll be happy..

well I know which ones everybody say are the best. And you just listed them. But if you would of read my message..you would of seen the part where I asked which would he best for racing. not just overall power. And also I wanted to know if it was true that the HMF are cheap meaning poor quality. I did research and i saw everybodys opinions. But I had a little bit diffrent qeastions. but thanks anyways man.

There is a reason those 3 are the 'BEST' All 3 would do well in Mx racing, all 3 are Proven in Mx racing!
If you want the Best of the Best... Yoshimura Ti. There is no doubt about it... But are you prepaird to drop about $700 on an exhaust system? 2nd to that is the Yoshimura RS-3.
Yoshimura and Suzuki work VERY close together, that is why Doug Gust races Suzuki/Yoshimura. Yoshimura has everything Suzuki figured out. (All of this you would have read if you REALLY read all the exhaust posts)
I have NEVER heard of HMF being poor quality.
The real question is How much money do you have? Because i could tell you what the BEST is all day long, but if the best is $700, and you only want to spend $300, then telling you how great the $700 pipe is, will do no good what so ever, because you are limited by how much you want to spend.
HMF and the Yoshimura RS-3 are Very close in price, under $100 depending on where you purchase.. My choices were the same as yours... You can see in my Sig the pipe i have.. The Yoshimura RS-3.
All this information i have provided is in EVERY exhaust post on the forum... So its obvious you haven't read as much as you *Think* you have..

ok thanks. Yeah I went to the search bar and typed in Z400 exhaust and read through all of them. And yes everybody does say yoshimura but more people say HMF. But none of them state why the think they are the bes. I heard in a diffrent forum that the yoshimura is a more top end pipe. But I heard the HMF has gobs of power everywhere. I like the yellow canister also. So I think Im going wiht either HMF or Trinty Stage IV. But thnaks for your help man.

I too wanted the HMF Yellow Pipe..
.. and i still would like to ride a Z400 with the same mods as mine but with an HMF pipe, because i'd like to see the difference.
I can tell you from my person experience with my Yoshimura pipe, that it has GOBS of power everywhere.
Actually, it doesn't feel much faster then it was stock, but it has a TON more torque, and midrange.
