Should i wait for 2006?

Hello all, this be my first post on the forum. I have been reading information posted here for the last bit and had decided on buying a new king quad. I'm tired of driving my dads sp400 when we go out while he's on the 500ho so i'm debation on wether i should wait for the 2006 or go get it now with no payment no interest for 6 months. I figure though if i wait i can buy the atv cash after the summer so its always another fact to consider. Also would like to know if anyone new of some possible changes for 06. I can also say that when i buy one, i will be changing tires to 26" mudlights right away so was wondering what little mods could i do to replace the lost power? thanks alot for the help guys!

It's always better to pay for something in cash then it is to finance it. If you can scrounge up 7G's by the end of the summer, well you could pay off your KQ w/ no interest and still have gotten to enjoy it all summer.
Now I don't have first hand experience but I very VERY seriously doubt 26" lites are going to rob enough power for you to notice. Now if you're drag racing or something then maybe you'd want to do something about it.

yeah youll be fine with 26 inch mudlights they are really a light tire for their tread pattern. Most any quad first motor mods are intake, exaust and a rejet. Now depending on what mud you run and such cutting holes in your airbox isnt the best idea but possibly cutting a hole in the airbox and running another tube to the same height as the intake opening is now is always a possibility. Grab yourself a K&N filter with an outerwears prefilter and an exaust. I dont know what exausts are best on a KQ but also if noise level is a factor then ask. I know that the Supertrap IDS2 is a popular exaust. check out http://www.highlifter.com. They specialize in mods for 4x4s and also have an excelent staff. send them an email and they will help you out with any question you give them about utility machines. They are also good honest people who ride themselves. Pretty much everybody on the staff ownes their own machine and rides. You wont get some person who knows nothing more then order numbers in a catolog.

Also wondering if anyone has the factory chip, my dealer told me bout it but no numbers so was just looking into that. he mentioned it to me after he let me take it for a test ride(to which i was very surprised).
