Default How long should a battery last?

Went to start up the Eiger this morning and the battery is dead and won't hold a charge. Luckily they made them easily to pull start, but I'm thinking a battery should last more than a year (or 260 miles). It was last started about 3 or 4 weeks ago, and it is stored in a garage so weather shouldn't really affect it. Is it possible to have a drain somewhere?

Its posible it wasnt fully charged to begin with. I use a battery tender on all my batteries, and that keeps them fully charged...even over the winter. Battery life is hard to judge. Ive had batteries last 8 years , and then ive had some bad right from the store. Sometimes a real tough, rough, 4x4 ride can loosen the internal plates in the battery and shorten its life. Charge it up, and if it still seems weak, have it load tested, this will show whether its good or bad.

Atv batteries never seem to last long..I know peole have battery disconnects installed. So when your not riding you can unplug the battery cable. That seems to make them last a little longer. Specially when they are parked for long periods of time...There always seems to be Parasitic draw..
