cc1999 you got a twin peak, like it that's ok. but I have a kingquad and I like it. My brother has a twin peak and he like my kingquad. ahhhhhhhhh maybe he speaks his real taughts, and you don't. Maybe just maybe when you wake up and buy a king quad, then and just maybe then the kingquad will be the best quad out there. Maybe just maybe you only like what you have?. Maybe just maybe ????????????????????

I just spent an hour on a KQ last weekend, yesterday to be exact, I think its a nice quad but I still don't want one. If I did I would buy one. I was visiting at my dad's place in arkansas and he had bought both the KQ and a BF750 along with still owning a 2002 P650. I don't care for the big singles vibration and the taller quads with IRS still feel tippy to me. Granted it has allot better trail manners than that of the BF750. I would put the KQ in a close 2nd or 3rd with the SP800. I spent several hours on both this past year and still preffer the SRA, Its just more fun to ride. I have a SP800 and really tried to get to like the KQ largely because I have never had that great of luck with polaris, But I thought the Polaris had less vibration and more power and felt more stable in off camber situations than the KQ. Trust me I am not a big polaris fan, but I wanted EFI for high altitude puposes. So I compared them very close, several times before I made a decision. I think the DW article comparing KQ vs Prairie700 is very acurate to what I have said since I first road a KQ.

Several points I'd like to make in defense of the K.Q. Firstly, it "hardly" sits higher than the Vinson...really only slightly. The BF 750 sits and feels MUCH higher than the K.Q. That is just one reason why i didn't like the BF...it DID feel high in the saddle. Secondly, I have been hearing some guys talk about the K.Q. being a little lacking in the low-end. Nothing could be further from the truth. The entire powerband is smooth from low to high. Finally, different strokes applies here. The K.Q. didn't get ATV of the year for just looking good. most of these were ran in comparative tests with other machines. I usually don't put a lot of stock in this atv of the year stuff however, with the innovation and feel of this machine...it got my attention!

Most of the ATV of the year shotouts I read left out the winners of the past 3 years. Now that some of them have come back put the KQ up against the Prairie/twinpeaks they have said that it was very very cloose in atv action leaving things with KQ on top but finishing with a statement to the effect if you want a sportier ride the prairie or twin peaks would be a better choice. Dirtwheels just put the KQ in second and put the prairie back on top. So do you just go with the articles you like the outcome of. I have been saying for months that I was disapointed they didn't include the Prairie in the early shootouts since it was the current champ. Because I felt it would still hold it own based on the seat time I had on the new contenders. I now commend the magazines for at least coming back and putting last years champ up against this years. It was no surprise to me that DW handed the title back to the Prairie.

Hey boys, hate to burst your bubble. But I am one of the lucky guys to own both the kq and the brute 750. All I can tell you is the kq is long gone. The power the brute has is just amazing. T hat is why I still own the brute. Buy one and you will never loose a race again.

Hey alltoos

I live in Pocatello too and would love to go ride with you to see if all the hype about the Brute is true. I ride out at Lake Channel in American Falls now until more trails open. You should go out there with me or meet me out there. I ride with 2 other King Quads right now but I would love to see the power of the Brute.

the way I see it...luv what you ride....cuz I dont care what it is ....at the end of the day I'll ride circles around it with my SP500....Big HP is not a BIG issue on the mountain...power agility and traction....its got all 3....

alltoo...why would you want to drag race a utility quad...thats what the sport class is for....I'll tell ya what...were both at the bottom of a mountain and point um up thru the trees....just a guess ...but I'll be at the top roastin hot dogs before the brute makes it half way....

What I find a bike to spank my poo on the mountain or on the trail ...I'll buy it....Im thinkin I'll own my poo for several more years...I dont even care for the 700 or 800 poos....VERRRRY differant bikes from the 500..

Pastor...keep the dream alive man....if its printed in a quad rag its gotta be true....

For that matter....its not as comfortable....but the 500 Scrambler 4x4 will spanks all the bikes out here in the all around...and thats a fact!
