New King Quad
#1
Hi all,
Earlier this week I sent out a check for a new King Quad, (red). I went to a few different dealerships and they all reccomended the KQ. (even the one that also sells Kawi). This is my first quad and plan to use it as mainly a utility machine, (plowing snow, yard work, hunting etc..), as well as trail riding. I will pick up the KQ next week and plan to hit the trails right away. I'm wondering if this is a good idea with a new machine. The dealer said the only break in is to vary the speed of the engine. Is it a good idea to have a 10 hour tune up? does it make a difference when you have the valves set and other tune up tips?
Also, is there any performance mods available for the new KQ?
Thanks in advance for any advice and opinoins.

Minigun... I just bought a red K.Q. and am still in the break in period. I will be taking it in for the tune up. As far as I can tell (the same with my Vinson), the valves must be adjusted periodically. I have always followed the manufacturers suggested on this stuff. Why take a chance? I want my machine to always be in top condition...thats why i play by their rules.
