I know i've read on here before that the honda 450r stock front shocks will fit on my 03 ltz 400....has anyone did this and if so, do the piggy back resevoirs clear the radiator. Does anyone think the triple rate works without rezzies would be just as good.....I mx and hairscramble both a little! 210 lbs

 

I posted a topic on this subject and the general opionion was yes. I just bought a pair and I am waiting on them to arrive. I hope they fit but if not I guess I can sell them on ebay. I am going to get the Works triple rate spring upgrade for them. I personally don't like the AT steelers from Works but the new ones they have out are supposed to be really good they start out about 450.00.

 

Thanks for your reply, I see the pictures of your Honda, looks like an awsome quad, I've been a Honda man my whole life, this is my first suzuki....Are you putting the 450 shocks on a Z400? If so could you let me know if they fit.....I think you would have to put the piggy rezzies towards the front...Just looking at some in the Honda dealers. Thanks again guy!

 

No they work just fine like they are supposed to go. I test fitted them but have sent them out for a revalve and triple rate spring upgrade. I'll let you know how they ride when I get them back. I sold the 400ex I was getting tired of paying 6.00 a gallon for race gas and not having reverse. I bought a 2004 z400 for 1200 less than I got for the 400ex so I had some upgrade money. So far I really like the z.
